Nicola is a passionate photographer with 25 years experience of running her own successful business. Originally just photographing weddings she branched out in 2008 to include Boudoir photoshoots - the success of this has been unprecedented with over 1500 shoots since we opened our Boudoir doors! We are widely regarded as the foremost Boudoir photographers in the UK and are regularly published in international and UK magazines.

 

Nicola lives in Ramsbottom, a small town just north of Manchester, UK with a cute French Bulldog - Spud! (woof). We shoot from our cosy home studio - in a relaxed and informal setting, we promise you'll feel right at home - kettle's on!

 

Our make-up artists were VERY carefully selected when we started Boudoir - Ewa Allen and Sarah Elliott are incredibly talented girls and are key in making our shoots as successful as they are - they totally ‘get’ what I’m on about - no mean feat I can assure you! We are also all very good friends and really have a giggle together!

Our studio is actually in Nicola's own home - it is very cosy and totally unthreatening and intimate - I know how posing in huge open spaces can feel intimidating so we have created a lovely homey feel with gorgeous furniture and sumptuous fabrics.

 

I am 54, a mother, and a size 14 - I know ALL about your body hang-ups and ALWAYS pose you to maximise your very best bits

 

We have THE top make-up artists in the industry, they spend 1.5-2 hours making you look and feel totally gorgeous - every shoot includes this, even the smallest packages! 

 

We never expect you to know how to pose or 'look sexy' (duck face!) - I do all your posing for you and direct the whole shoot - I know some photographers don't do this - this is KEY to getting the very best images and also means you don't feel silly! Of course, all you experienced models know how to do this already!

 

ALL your images in your chosen package are re-touched to our incredibly high standard - we never show you un-edited images or ask you to pick from hundreds of unedited shots - all re-touching is included!

 

Your edited images are ready to view online (no need to return to the studio) within 3-10 days - no exceptions!!! EVER!

 

We have an EXTENSIVE wardrobe with outfits for sizes from 6 upto 26 so no need to worry if can't afford to buy something new! Some of the lingerie items we have include: basques, corsets, underbust corsets, vintage girdles, bullet bras, kimonos, peignoirs, babydolls, garter belts, stockings and hold-ups in ALL sizes, vintage and modern swimwear, vintage dresses, leotards and slinky modern dresses for model shoots, real and faux furs, shrugs, feather boas, dressing up outfits like Snow White, Sailor Girl, French Maid, Ring Master, Vampira, Victorian Bather and Alice in Wonderland.

 

We have boxes and boxes full of accessories like hair pieces, hair flowers, headresses and hats, vintage scarves, sunglasses, jewellery, gloves, 30 different wigs and hair pieces, bunny tails and ears (!), 12 pairs of nipple pasties, 15 pairs of shoes in sizes 4-8 and for the more adventurous among you we have latex outfits, leather cuffs, masks, harnesses, whips, pretend guns and cigarettes and a riding crop!

 

We have a HUGE prop collection - feather burlesque fans, vintage chairs and stools, vintage cameras and telephones, angel wings, massive cage crinolines, beautiful mirrors and wardrobes, vintage lifebuoys, a ukulele, grass skirt and lots of tiki items, a huge pocket watch (Alice in Wonderland!), a retro microphone and stand, huge flags, umbrellas and parasols,  and a vintage hat stand! Not to mention 10+ different backdrops for model shoots.
