Where we are!

 

By road: We are situated just off Junction 1 of the M66, north of Manchester.  We are 40mins from Preston,  25mins from Manchester City centre, 1hr 45mins from Birmingham and 3hr 30mins from London or Glasgow.

 

By air: our nearest airport is Manchester or Liverpool

 

By train: the nearest station is the Bury Metrolink, serviced from Manchester Piccadilly or Victoria.  Bolton is also very near to us. We are a short taxi or bus ride from Bury.

There is free, ample on-road parking near us. Although there is a very short steep hill and some steps to climb - so wear your flats! 

​

Ramsbottom is a lovely little tourist town with its own Steam Railway. We have gorgeous cafes (try the Chocolate Cafe!) and bistros and a great park with some wonderful scenic walks up Holcombe Hill. There are 2 nice hotels very near to us - the Old Mill is 2 mins walk away, and the Red Hall is 5 mins drive away.

 

We also have the wonderful Trafford Centre 30mins away so you could combine your trip up North with some retail therapy! You are also very welcome to bring a friend with you for some moral support.
